The World of Ayurveda
Explore a new way of finding balance, and improving and maintaining good health. Choose to discover the world of Ayurveda and how its principles can affect your health & happiness. Create balance between body, mind & consciousness by learning your constitution.
In Ayurveda an individual’s constitution is determined based on their particular combination of physical, mental and emotional characteristics. Once one knows their constitution they can manage both internal and external factors that create a balanced state of being. These factors include stresses, diet, seasons/weather, physical activity and relationships.
Ayurveda identifies three types of energy that constitute the basics of the body. These energies are known as vata, pitta and kapha.
“Vata is the energy of movement, pitta is the energy of digestion or metabolism and kapha, the energy of lubrication and structure. All people have the qualities of vata, pitta and kapha, but one is usually primary, one secondary and the third is usually least prominent.”
